It makes our eternity
According to Scripture: Our confession makes our eternity. By it, we either land in Heaven when we die, or we land at Jesus’ feet for Judgement Day.

By nature God is easy, light-handed, gentle, a loving God. However He is also Holy. So, the question becomes: How on earth are guilty sinners, like you and me, to be allowed near His Lily-White Righteous Presence, and into His Holy Holy Kingdom? Impossible for sin-tainted, puny humans.
If you’re going to God’s Home Heaven – “Be sure to wear His robes of righteousness.” But no sinner can make his robes “lily-white”, unStained, on his own.
“whatever comes our way”
Independent, freedom loving peoples all over the world do not like parameters. It’s so common, I think God made us all that way. We looove our freedom. As Steppenwolf sang in Born to be wild, we want to be free for “whatever comes our way“. 1
Sin has come our way
It’s a thrilling thing – “Lookin’ for adventure and whatever…”. However, the problem with being wild is the sin.
Sin separates us from Holy God Romans 3:23. It entangles us 2
If not dealt with, sin damns you to Hell. Scary thought. 3
Ever been to Grand Canyon, Arizona? Remember standing at the edge? Years ago a dear friend of mine actually saw a family man fall off. He was looking into his eyes as the man lost his balance and realized he was falling to his death!
There you can vividly envision the vast chasm between sin and holiness, between practicing sinners – and Holy God. Wow, what a gorge! Absolutely impassable.

Sin is like that. Sin has come our way. Sin is the Grand Canyon barrier separating us from the other side. Sin must be dealt with if we want to go to Heaven.
God wants all of us to be with Him. Truly. However, He will not change His Holy nature for His cracked clay pots. How ridiculous would that be!
So guess who must change? Not Him! He is our Maker. We must accept Him as He is – Holy Father Lord of all. He offers us eternal life.
How do you cross the chasm?
As is, sin separates us so far from God that Heaven is impossible to reach. Absolutely impossible. The good thing is that God breaks the impossible.
He, the Almighty, provided the only way to permanently take away our sin. God’s Way is what saves us. How marvelous is that!?
Jesus explained how difficult true salvation truly is:
Mark 10:17-26
17 As He was leaving on His journey, a man ran up and knelt before Him and asked Him, “Good Teacher [You who are essentially good and morally perfect], what shall I do to inherit eternal life [that is, eternal salvation in the Messiah’s kingdom]?….”
23 Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who are wealthy [and cling to possessions and status as security] to enter the kingdom of God!”
…26 They were completely and utterly astonished,
and said to Him,
“Then who can be saved [from the wrath of God]?”
27 Looking at them, Jesus said,
“With people
[as far as it depends on them]
it is impossible,
but not with God;
for all things are possible with God.”

Looking for loopholes…not following Jesus – it’s so easy

Seeking to justify your religious beliefs? Think again. 4 Betting your eternity on your thinking? That will never work. How utterly disappointed you will be.
Machination imaginings
Organized or hippie-free, your religious imaginations are just that: Machination imaginings.
Merriam Webster meaning for “machination“:
a scheming or crafty action
or artful design
intended to accomplish
some usually evil end
God does not work with your “machination”. Your attempts to please God? Your “salvation ways”, whims and wishes, and wrongheaded thinking…? Your religiosities, egoistic private revelations from God, misinterpretations of the Bible…? Imagining God spoke to you, declaring God gave you special knowledge, making up that you know the future…?
Nothing we work-up can move God from His Way to accept Your Way. You’ll stay damned, plain and simple. In Scripture you most likely even have read, Jesus warned us not to be dishonest with Him.
There is a scenario Jesus spoke about where “many” will suddenly be shocked out of their gord MerWeb. They lived and practiced their church practices — “thinking” and “assuming” Jesus was their Savior.

Then they will arrive before Him, the Great Judge of Heaven, and He doesn’t even know them. Right there in front of Him! Their “think“ was far from reality.
What a shock of all possible shocks for these so-called Christians. I can’t imagine. What horror. What outrage. What in Hell are they to do about it? Their chance to choose is over.
These are banished
Jesus said this will happen in the end of time. We are in that time now.
The scariest statement by Jesus against modern day people of faith who claim Him as Lord, is found in Matthew 7:19-24. They claimed to have prophesied His Words, cast out demons, done many miracles, and, they actually called Him Lord — but nevertheless He calls them out saying they “act wickedly [disregarding My commands]“. What? How is that!?
Jesus declared:
19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore, by their fruit you will recognize them [as false prophets].
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
24 “So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man]

Counterfeit believers can be identified, Jesus says. According to Jesus “by their fruit you will recognize them“. They are they… “who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’”
When you have been deceived, it’s not easily recognizable in your own soul. But others can discern it.
Jesus will reject many “Christians”. Many will be rejected by Jesus in the end! See: 1 John 2:21-24.

Want to stay inside what is destined to fail you? If you continue in your own thinking, living without repentance before God, arguing with God, consorting with error…just plain following practices that God is against…know this: Your disappointment is scheduled. What a bummer of bummers.
There will be two sides of the The Court in That Day when we stand before The Judge. There will be the damning side, and there will be a forgiven side.
We arrive before the Judge already damned, or already forgiven. You do not want to have God damn you on that final judgment day. Twice God–damned —- is forever damned. Once forgiven —- is forever free, in a heaven prepared for us by God himself.

The Forgiving God
We absolutely cannot save ourselves our own way. (2 Corinthians 3:5, 2 Corinthians 4:7) Don’t even think about it. Or, maybe you’re feeling lucky with this loving God someone told you about? Do you not know that He is also — the Damning God?
I am so thankful to God that He is also the Forgiving God. This Salvation He promises is very specifically promised to a certain people group:
“To those who have received
a faith of the same [b]kind as ours,
[c]by the righteousness of
our God and Savior, Jesus Christ”
– 2 Peter 1: verse 1
Don’t be fooled into believing God is lackadaisical and just wants your love. “Love love love – how could God refuse me!?”

God does the saving, but He only saves those who come to Him on Jesus’ terms. Do you know His terms for salvation?
Your confession must truly accept all of Jesus – all that He is and all that He does, or… what are you really accepting anyway?
So many these days hear “the message” from a church that follows a Jesus who is not God. No wonder so many will be rejected by Jesus in the end! See: 1 John 2:21-24. No wonder!
Matthew 7:23
And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
There are many “people of faith” who have prayed to receive God’s free gift of salvation. However, though they may have prayed, too many believed in their own way – not the Way of God (Romans 10:9). And so it is with billions who were deceived into mere religions, their man-made philosophies inspired by doctrines of demons.
They will never see the entrance to Heaven, much less spend eternity with all that is good. What about you? Is your light actually darkness?
We must accept Jesus – according to what Jesus taught, according to what Jesus requires. And, according to Jesus: Your eternity depends on it. Wow. Scary thought.
Salvation is fast…and immediate
* The Thief on the cross was saved on the spot.
* The jailer of Paul was saved on the spot, and got baptized…on the spot (Acts 16:29-34; Full Context: Acts 16:1-40).
* The Ethiopian eunuch was saved on the spot (Acts 8:25-40).
*All us truly saved are saved “on the spot”.
Don’t be a rejector…like the rich young ruler, Nicodemus, and all Unbelievers
* The rich young ruler (Matthew 19:16-22)… “he left grieving and distressed”
* The Pharisee named Nicodemus came to Jesus at night (John 3) but rejected the evidences and the testimonies.
* Unbelievers (1 Peter 4:4) as a whole are rejected by God… until they believe.
John said…
“we speak only of
what we [absolutely] know
and testify about
what we have [actually] seen
[as eyewitnesses];
and [still]
you [reject our evidence and]
do not accept our testimony.”

How do you argue away
the claims of Jesus,
so that
He is wrong
and you are right?
We all were once as they, Paul points-out (1 Corinthians 6:11, Ephesians 2:3). Like with these rejectors (the rich young ruler, Nicodemus, all Unbelievers…), maybe you also have “left grieving”. Maybe you still reject Jesus.

Ephesians 2:3
Among these [unbelievers] we all once lived in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by the sinful self], indulging the desires of human nature [without the Holy Spirit] and [the impulses] of the [sinful] mind. We were, by nature, children [under the sentence] of [God’s] wrath, just like the rest [of mankind].
Approach God with a true and sincere heart. It is truly worth it. Jesus saves sinners. But this is from God and this Kingdom of God is very exclusive, very luxurious, very special.
But you can do it. You can go there. Make the move: Spend eternity with the God of all that is good. To do so, you must truly follow Jesus as Scripture tells us —
accept all of Jesus
– all that He is and
all that He does
Don’t trust your way. Whatever that way may be, it won’t work. Jesus was absolutely adamant about His Way:
Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.”

5 Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.

9 Do you not know
that the unrighteous
will not inherit

What does Jesus require?
So, lest we be deceived, let’s look at what we find in His Word, the Bible. What does Jesus require of us, specifically – before He will save us? He has rejected many seekers. That’s because there are parameters we must get right, without which we are lost forever. His specificities matter – eternally. Don’t try Salvation Lite.
Salvation is a matter of the heart. We yield Him our heart – and He saves us on the spot.

Is your light actually darkness? Excerpt: It is God’s word that fills us with light – not any of the multiple, vain, man-made philosophies cooked-up to make us feel wise (Zephaniah 3:4, Luke 11:52, John 8:47, 2 Corinthians 2:17, Philippians 4:8, 1 John 4:6). Our made-up ways are dark.
Jesus is saying here: “Be careful.” Wake up! That light in you — what is it, really? If it is not coming from Me [God Himself], then your “light” is actually darkness, no matter how smart you are. Your thinking is totally devoid of the One True God. Your life is then filled with the dark.
