Following Jesus
We need guidance from Creator God if we want to end up following Him in all things. Is that what you want? In a world steeped in its own bag of tea, we must become immersed in God’s Word – the Bible. We must take-on His colors. What colors do you identify with?
The Bible gives us biblical principles to guide each of us in our unique life and in our daily practices. I want to be more and more like Jesus. Don’t you? See:

Biblical principles to guide our life and practices
Here are some helpful focus passages that apply to transgenderism. Here is a perspective and listing of warnings God has given to us – as fallen people.
It is a listing of serious passages that comment on the ungodliness of us all. What you agree with – is up to you. God will hold us accountable.

Transgenderism
When it comes to changing your gender and your sexuality, do you know God’s expressed will in this? The world is following the reasonings of anti-Biblical philosophies from the gay agenda.
* Is it that you want to follow, or do you want to follow Jesus?
* Who you going to call? (Quoting God’s Scripture – Denying Man’s Philosophies)
* What’s it you want to follow? How much is Heaven worth to you?
* Do you know God’s expressed will in this?
* What decides and settles your burning questions?

What God wants
The world is saying one thing. God has told us another.
This other choice we have, one we can make or not – is to follow what God wants for us. God made each of us unique. He molded us into what He had planned: forming each of us as individuals.
“We are each a world unto ourselves”… a world apart. There is a huge mental world in the mysterious cavern sitting on our neck.
We are each unique creatures birthed into flesh by God (Psalm 139 NIV). Not from one mold, we differ, each one, by His creative design. [We also differ by the experience life throws at us. Very different from one individual to another.] We see through different lenses – vastly differing cultures, vastly different influences.

Biblical reasonings
Love for others will drive us to try to understand what makes the trans* heart tick. Understanding is a good thing.
Books are being written to help us try to understand Transgenderism, like this one by Preston: (Embodied: Transgender Identities… The Church, & What The Bible Has To Say | Author Preston Sprinkle | David C Cook). But there are deep questions about Preston’s faithfulness to the Gospel. See #2 at Why progressivism hates repentance (at christianpost | by Rosaria Butterfield | Op-ed contributor | Oct/
If we actually are following Jesus, we will love those with whom we differ. True statements:
“Christians love
transgender individuals
and gays.”
God does not
hate the sinner
Biblical Foundations
Books abound about the issues, but I think not enough effort is put forth to try to understand the biblical foundations. Do you know where in the Bible certain principles can apply to the transgender debate?
What does the Bible inform us about Transgenderism? A thorough understanding of biblical teachings around this issue should guide us well – into aligning with God’s Word, not conforming to the world. After all, don’t we want to please God in all we do?
And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs],
but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes],
so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
– Romans 12:2
Unite your
“Faith Identity”
and
“Gender Identity”
with biblical principles.
Author Preston Sprinkle says this about “faith identity” and “gender identity”:
“This book is my fragile attempt to help us think more deeply and love more widely through a topic that sometimes lacks both. Even though my primary audience is non-trans* Christians, I hope the book can also help trans* Christians wrestling with the relationship between their faith identity and gender identity.”
– Source: Preston Sprinkle | Embodied: Transgender Identities… The Church, & What The Bible Has To Say (David C Cook); pg 15.
Does your “faith identity” jive with Scripture?
See: | What Jesus Taught |
| We know what Jesus believes. Do you agree with Him? |
| Getting down to God’s Meaning |
| Is Jesus’ worldview your worldview? |
The world is spinning truth into lies. Satan‘s lies (Genesis 3:1-5) are warping sensibilities and wreaking havoc on our nation, our young people and even children and parents. How far will you go to stay faithful to Jesus?
Rejection of God’s truth
The real issue with “transgenderism” is: a rejection of God’s truth. We must know what the principles are in the Bible — then deal with this.
Here again are the passages for establishing a biblical view of transgenderism. If we study them, we begin to see the biblical issues:
See ALL passages listed. (Scroll down, verse by verse)
The Sirens Beckon
Life is full of dangers to our spiritual life. Philosophies can corrupt our sensibilities, our common sense. If we immerse in them, they can work to turn us away from God’s way.
The good thing in all this: The Lord can restore you.
A good life habit for all of us should be:
Turn from – Turn to
Transgenderism vs Biblical Living
Choosing to reject God, many get snagged by transgender philosophy… and soon are snookered. According to Preston:
Trans people feel
“an incongruence
between their
biological sex and
their internal sense of self”.
– Source: Preston Sprinkle | Embodied: Transgender Identities… The Church, & What The Bible Has To Say (David C Cook); pg 24. See also pages 29-32.
According to Preston, trans*, mainly young people and some parents, believe that:
a “feeling”
or “an intense longing” for another “identity”,
and/or,
a rejection of an “identity”
— should not be denied, but rather sought after.
Resist and Reject
We all deal with many various “feelings” and “internal struggles” pulling us this way and that! But if we follow the Lord we will not seek them.
Our faith should turn us to God’s truths. The good thing is: you can repent and change the way you live to follow Him.
All who reject God’s Way, like the active trans* — go with their feelings. They have already rejected faith in the Bible. They have rejected what God wants, and gone instead with what they want. We must be careful to “seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom”.
“…first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” – Matthew 6:33
The little book of Jude warns us that true faith in Christ will be – and is now being – distorted by people with fake faith. (Read more in this search of the OMGjesus site about “fake faith“.) You absolutely cannot keep your sin – AND God’s Way.
Immoral freedom
Trans* are into it in these End Times, just as back in the day, as Jude warned. Many are into “decadence and immoral freedom [viewing it as an opportunity to do whatever they want]”. They “deny and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”
4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed [just as if they were sneaking in by a side door]. They are ungodly persons whose condemnation was predicted long ago, for they distort the grace of our God into decadence and immoral freedom [viewing it as an opportunity to do whatever they want], and deny and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
– Jude:verse 4
“Many are into
“decadence and
immoral freedom
…to do whatever they want]”

“Trying to change who and what you were made to be by God, well, that is against His will for us. He loves trans* individuals, but He hates the sin.
God hates sin (Proverbs 6:16-19). It is unacceptable to Him. But He died for the sinner (John 3:14-18). So obviously God does not hate the sinner.”

Biblical Understanding
The Bible on the other hand says resist and reject, live sensibly:
* “resist the Devil…” – James 4:7…
* “submit to [the authority of] God. – James 4:7…
* “do not be conformed to the world…” – Romans 12:2 (Also: Job 22:21; Romans 8:29; Philippians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:14.)
* “reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and… live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age.” – Titus 2:11-12
* “reject… worldly (immoral) desires…” – Titus 2:11-12
* “live sensible, upright, and godly lives…” – Titus 2:11-12
* “reflect spiritual maturity… in this present age.” – Titus 2:11-12
Common sense
God is on the side of rational thought, common sense, and spiritual maturity. That is part of God’s normal. He made things, designed each of us. God teaches us:
“…to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age….”
– Titus 2:11-12
His grace teaches us
This verse 12 of Titus 2:11-12, and others, tells us that it is God’s remarkable grace and salvation that teaches us to say no to sin, like transgenderism:
“For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us….”
In many translations, here is verse 12, the part of Titus 2:11-12 that says to reject…
CEV He taught us to give up our wicked ways and our worldly desires and to live decent and honest lives in this world.
NLV We are taught to have nothing to do with that which is against God. We are to have nothing to do with the desires of this world. We are to be wise and to be right with God. We are to live God-like lives in this world.
VOICE Grace arrives with its own instruction: run away from anything that leads us away from God; abandon the lusts and passions of this world; live life now in this age with awareness and self-control, doing the right thing and keeping yourselves holy.
The progressive nature of evilness
Transgenderism is a result of the natural progressive nature of evilness. Don´t let it “reign in your mortal body”.
“Therefore do not let sin
reign in your mortal body”
– Romans 6:12
The misled transgender
The misled transgender lets sin reign. The transgender individual is like the defenseless city in Proverbs: has no self-control over their spirit, is unprotected, broken down, without walls for defense, and “sets himself up for trouble”:
“Like a city that is broken down and without walls [leaving it unprotected] Is a man who has no self-control over his spirit [and sets himself up for trouble].” – Proverbs 25:28 1
What leads to transgenderism and enslaves the soul
Fighting “the good fight” is all about not letting anything lead you into sin – not becoming enslaved by sin. The Bible shows us “what leads to sin” and “what enslaves the soul”.
Read, for example 1 Corinthians 10:9-14. Verse 14 teaches us:
“…run [keep far, far away] from [any sort of] idolatry [and that includes loving anything more than God, or participating in anything that leads to sin and enslaves the soul].”
We are to “run from”, stay away from that which “enslaves the soul”. Individuals who get into transgenderism obviously love transgenderism “more than God”. They “participate” in many a thing that “leads to sin and enslaves the soul”. They practice sin instead of following Christ.
God loves transgenders
God still loves the transgender. In God’s eyes the trans* is never unlovable, never worthless, nor hopeless. He died for all of us regardless of how we reject His Way. He hung on a cross — because of His great love for every individual – just as they are.
However, God is asking all of us to repent. In Galatians 5:16-21 we are warned that those who “16…carry out the desire of the flesh” “…will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Verse 21)“. We cannot keep our rebellious heart – AND enter His Kingdom. This is our danger while living in this world: Not inheriting the Kingdom of God.
That is a reality that God has established. They “live in the futility of their mind”: Ephesians 4:17- 21. 2
We learn in Romans 1:18 that the wicked (ungodly and unrighteous) “suppress and stifle the truth”, and that is what gay advocates do. The truth is not with them.
“For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth…” – Romans 1:18
We must turn from – turn to. Turn in repentance.

Our response to transgenders
Sincere and active love should be the natural response to anyone living contrary to God’s revealed will for us. That is what Romans 12:9 suggests for how to respond to the transgender individual.
Romans 12:9: Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing—without guile and hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on tightly to what is good. See:
The Christian’s mission of love every day
Responding to insults and losses
Living daily with gentleness and respect
Develop habits of love for all we meet (Romans 12:9-13).
Establish personal rules of practice.
Being friendly, cordial and gracious
Act in love towards all peoples

Footnotes
- This passage in Timothy describes pretty accurately the transgender individual and the gay advocates:
But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear].
2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith].
Avoid such people and keep far away from them. 6 For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate morally weak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by [the burden of their] sins, easily swayed by various impulses,
7 always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres [the court magicians of Egypt] opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, unqualified and worthless [as teachers] in regard to the faith.
9 But they will not get very far, for their meaningless nonsense and ignorance will become obvious to everyone, as was that of Jannes and Jambres.
