What it is
According to Genesis, God created all that is. And He did it well.
Genesis 1:12, 31…God saw everything that He had made, and
behold, it was very good and He validated it completely.
Since God is Creator, He owns the rights to “Truth”. Makes sense – yah? Owner rights?
Want to know what it is, this Truth? We all want to think we have a handle on truth, but… do you really? It stands to reason we must seek after God — in order to know His Truth.
My Journey
Over the years I have been developing “my thinking” on all the issues of my journey. It’s what they call my “worldview“. You’ve got one too.
My goal is to align my worldview with Jesus. My failure here has been: not aligning all that “view” with all my actions. It’s been a struggle… still ongoing.
My worldview is a mixture of thought: my thinking and God’s thinking. The goal has been to conform mine with His. Have less of me – more of Him Romans 12:2.
God’s Think
I really don’t want “any natural born human’s” thought See: God’s Think to mix-in with what the Bible says is God’s thought. That is syncretism Google it. That’s a problem. I tend to think I think well! But, the fact is, Scripture warns about this danger, merging His Truth with our truths (as if our natural born human thought is just as good as God’s written Word).
Romans 12:1-2. *Yes, go read the embedded notes (a, b, c) here.
[a]Therefore I urge you, [b]brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.
2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [c]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes],
so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
_________
I want God’s Will…His will is good, acceptable, perfect
I need to constantly be setting myself apart to God. As the passage says: “Set apart” from “this world“. The enemies of my soul pressure me to conform to their will. What to do about that!?
It is a full-time spiritual job I have, so to speak, to “be [c]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind“. It’s not been easy. We all have this job. How’s that going for you?
My will is not perfect, but God’s will is. God’s is good. God’s is acceptable. God’s is perfect. Mine? Not so much. So I’m going for His!
_________
God wrote The Book…over the course of many centuries. And now? Now we can read it. So now we can compare our thinking with God’s. That is a most important habit Christians can develop:
Conforming our thinking with the Bible and what Jesus taught. 1
Churches help or hinder
In this “renewing of your mind” – churches can either help or hinder. Know which one they do (help – or – hinder). Don’t get caught-up with heretical thought. Be Berean. 2
Your Worldview
With the thinking you have been developing over the years, “your worldview”:
* Are you right by God?
* Right by Jesus?
* Or, wrong as Hell?
* Are you right by the world?
The Christian, saved by faith, born again to new life in Christ… begins a new journey with Jesus as Lord and Savior. I like the saying: Now I belong to Jesus. I live for Jesus. He is “my reason to live” Philippians 1:21. How about you?
Loving Jesus a lot
Loving…does not save you. From this news item we learn that this famous man loves Jesus: Ben & Jerry’s co-founder tells Tucker Carlson ‘I love Jesus Christ’. Apparently the ice cream man loves Jesus a lot. But that does not save anyone. The question for all: Are you all “in” for Jesus? Be careful: just loving Jesus does not save you.
Since being saved – “from now on”…I “live to God”.
Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ [He is my source of joy, my reason to live] and to die is gain [for I will be with Him in eternity].
Galatians 2:19-20
19 For through the Law I died to the Law and its demands on me [because salvation is provided through the death and resurrection of Christ], so that I might [from now on] live to God.
20 I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
The “godly truth entrusted” to us
I assume we all agree: I am not in this earth journey permanently. It is my temp job, so to speak.
“to die is gain
[for I will be with Him
in eternity]” Philippians 1:21
Scripture encourages us to periodically renew our thinking about how this journey has been going for us. One of our top priorities is: to conform to Jesus in all my ways Romans 12:1-2.
We have been commissioned by God to keep His Word daily. Paul put it this way: “guard and keep safe the deposit [of godly truth] entrusted to you“.
Excerpt from Think about it. Have you strayed from God’s truth?
The “godly truth”. You got it? The truth that is godly?
It takes a lot of careful thinking to keep safe the “godly truth entrusted to” us who follow Jesus 1 Timothy 6:20-21 . The Apostle Paul tells us we must constantly be discerning, like a judge with a gavel, passing judgement right and left — upon what is said around us. Or else.
We must develop a biblical mentality – and think like God Almighty! Truly! It is that bad out there nowadays.
Being Wrong …with Jesus
If you just don’t get it, and your thinking is “wrong”, then what will Jesus say when He returns to earth for the great meet-up down the road? Our thinking affects what we do and say.
There is a lot of conforming to the world’s thinking going around. And some, I fear, have shipwrecked their faith.
“…fight the good fight… 19 keeping your faith [leaning completely on God with absolute trust and confidence in His guidance] and having a good conscience; for some [people] have rejected [their moral compass] and have made a shipwreck of their faith.” – 1 Timothy 1:18-19
My horrors
I am terribly, terribly horrified, literally, by the coming most abysmic horror that supposed-life-long “Christians” will experience when they meet Jesus.
They are expecting
“well done” Matthew 25:21
but will hear
“…depart from Me
I never knew you” Matthew 7:23.
That Meetup down the road will soon be physically dividing eternity for us all. And that will be it, folks. Done for eternity. And then we start another existence – wherever God places us: The side in Hell, or the better side, in Heaven.
Choose to change eternity
You can do it now (but not later): Divide your eternity so you are on the right side. By our choice we divide eternity once – for all time. Scripture leaves the door wide open when it says: “Whosoever will may come“.
The essence of godly, biblical living is understanding Jesus and getting down to God’s meaning for life. It’s not Monty Python’s – misUnderstanding of life we need! We need the true Jesus.
If we are “wrong” according to Jesus, then we are misunderstanding God or outright rejecting God. Are you betting your eternity like that, on your own thinking?
Halfway to Heaven
Are you living between two opinions – halfway to Heaven, halfway to Hell, with your thinking and God’s think mixed up? Think again. That way is neither here nor there!
You are outstanding in the wrong way: you are out standing on the fence Google it: out on the fence. Take a stand for Jesus!
Excerpt from The Apostle Paul’s Criticisms
“Examine everything carefully”
The world wants everyone to be intellectually willy-nilly and have a worldview characterized by, “It’s all good.” The big scheme of the Evil One is: be accepting of all beliefs (the new “tolerant”). Their intolerant one exception: don’t accept Christian thought.
Christians, standing out from the crowded world, are to be discerning and put things to the test of God’s ways.

Footnotes
-
This website is dedicated to this type of conforming and aligning with God: OMGjesus is all about the Bible and what Jesus taught.
- Berean thinking.
Contrary to the Thessalonian example (Acts 17:11) – Berean type peoples want to carefully examine beliefs and statements and sermons all the time. They maintain a mind that is open to examination of what they are told. They don’t just accept the authority of the person or of the religion, but – they put it to the test of Scripture. They ask: What does Scripture teach about this? Is what they are saying – true to Scripture, or not?
For the time will come
when they will not endure
sound doctrine;
but wanting to
have their ears tickled,
they will accumulate
for themselves
teachers in accordance to
their own desires
– 2 Timothy 4:3We Berean types expect: reasoning, explaining, and evidence given. We want to compare Scriptures with what is said – “to see whether these things [are] so.” Who wants to follow what is NOT so!? Apparently many did then, and many do today. I guess as humans – some just accept what they are told, and others want to ask, “Why?”.
2 And according to Paul’s custom, he went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3 [a]explaining and [b]giving evidence that the [c]Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying…” – Acts 17:verses 2-3.
