Life is a house. You build it as the years go by. You are responsible for it – all the way to the end of your temporary existence here on a temporary world set up by God. He is testing us. You with Him in this?
Some build it well – others, not so much. I find this Psalm an important impetus: 1
“Lord, make me to know my end
And what is the extent of my days;
Let me know how transient I am.
5 “Behold, You have made my days as handbreadths,
And my lifetime as nothing in Your sight;
Surely every man at his best is a mere breath.

How transient I am
How are you building yours? Are you being smart about it? Matthew 7:21-25 MSG
Smart about eternity? Or are you like King Solomon’s Fool? Thinking stupidly.
Want to be a fool? Stay a fool? Or: Do you want to heed God’s Word, and follow the Truth? Who would want to go through all of life — and end up… still a fool?

Living smart
What kind of fool would want to end up a fool!? Ask yourself: What kind of fool do you think I am?
Get smart. Jesus gave us this parable in Matthew 7:21-25 about building on your existence: Eternity depends on the foundation of your life. Are you building on The Rock – Jesus? Or are you building on blowing sand? Quite a difference.
1 Corinthians 3:10-15
Verse 11 “…no one
can lay a foundation
other than the one
which is [already] laid,
which is Jesus Christ.
Arriving into Eternity you will indubitably see that difference. That arrival is for eternal joy -or- it will enter you into the unresolvable horror of being damned forever. Always, neverending.
Imagine “always”. Gives pause to think deeply, does it not?
“Words to build a life on”…building on The Rock
These following two Bible versions give godly insight and righteous perspective.
About living smart:
1 – Matthew 7:21-25 MSG
21-23 “Knowing the correct password—saying ‘Master, Master,’ for instance—isn’t going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, ‘Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our super-spiritual projects had everyone talking.’ And do you know what I am going to say? ‘You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit. You’re out of here.’
24-25 “These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.
2 – Matthew 7:21-25 AMP
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
24 “So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
The “knowledge that saves” pairs-up with the soul attitude which Jesus requires: deny ourself, take up our cross, believe-conform-follow, be willing to die “because of faith in Me” (Matthew 16:24).

The ultimate “smarts” is to listen to Jesus and follow Him.
Matthew 16:24
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples,
“If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].
Pure Gospel…Jesus said, “Follow Me“
THAT Matthew 16:24 is building on The Rock. Don’t follow any easybelievism smarmy faith MerWeb: smarmy. Don’t be deceived by your local NAR-type Charismatic apostate faith. Theirs cannot save you.
What saves you…is believing in the Name of Jesus.
It is impossible to deceive God. But many seem to deceive themselves, thinking that a simple acquiescence saved them. Many like the sound of the gospel, but then go on to live a contrary life to what a follower of Christ is told in the Bible to live. That type of faith is no faith at all. That “easybelievism” will not stand up in court before an all-knowing God.

The “all-in” type of believing
Biblical “believing in Jesus” is a special type of “believing”. It means – being all in with all that you are, not just bits and pieces, not just a mental assent. Have you taken the bait for “easybelievism”… instead of a biblical “believe”? (See section below titled: Believing in Jesus like Lucifer the Devil “believes”.)
I choose “wisdom and soundness of mind”. How about you?

Read Scripture carefully. The “all believers” here in 1 John 2 verse 2, refers to a specific type of “believe” in the Greek term — not the tragic easybelievism bought-into by most of Christiandom. Did you bite that bait?

Think about this carefully…pause to think deeply
Being tested to know for sure your faithfulness to God
Being a Temp in our temporary tent…your temporary existence
The end as Jesus predicted it…being faithful to the end
Can you really see what is going on in the world?…in this temporary world
Gird up your mind and be ready!

It’s not an easy road

King Solomon’s Fool Excerpt: Without wisdom, you are basically characterized as “a closed-minded, self-confident fool”, according to the wisest man ever on earth, King Solomon. Solomon said, if you are not following “wisdom”, then you are one or more of several not so wise types.

As Teachers of the Faith – Unqualified and Worthless – 2 Timothy 3:8 Excerpt: False teachers in the NAR movement are not just sadly mistaken, having been mislead. Scripture describes deceptive groups and leaders, such as NAR type leaders, as “unqualified and worthless [as teachers] in regard to the faith.”
They “oppose the truth“. They are “men of depraved mind“.
