Are you actively making it a point in your daily life — to “take hold of” perfection? Or, are you okay with “normal”? Merely being a normal human is not what we are called-out to be.
Paul was a high achiever for Jesus. And he exhorts us all to be that.
Philippians 3:12-15 AMP *marked up by editor
12 Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect,
but I actively press on [a]so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. 13 [b]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do:
forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 All of us who are mature [pursuing spiritual perfection] should have this attitude. And if in any respect you have a different attitude, that too God will make clear to you.
“All of us who are mature
[pursuing spiritual perfection]
should have this attitude”
– verse 15
Are you presently failing God’s testing… and soon to be rejected 2 Corinthians 13:5 as counterfeit?
God offers to change us dramatically – and prepare us for His Holy Home. Have you accepted His challenge?
If you’re going to God’s Home Heaven – “Be sure to wear His robes of righteousness….” Revelation 7:9-17 and Revelation 22:14

“Are you actively

in your daily life
— to “take hold of”
perfection?
Or, are you okay with “normal”?
Merely being
a normal human
is not what we are called-out to be.”
Called by Jesus to be forever on a higher level…what we are called-out to be.
The Righteous Person…perfection? Or, are you okay with “normal” human life?
Excerpt: By definition in the Bible, a righteous person is someone with an attitude that says,
I want “to seek and submit to the will of God” Luke 1:17
God’s Normal Excerpt: Do you truly “walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called…?” (Ephesians 4: verse 1).
Want it Excerpt: …beyond the randomness, beyond those matters beyond my control, the reality is that much of life is a choice. Living is full of choice-upon-choice, day after day, minute by minute. I have to want it – to get it. Life demands desire and choice, impetus and decision. From the basics of life – to the complexities of making a go of it, as they say, what gets me there is my personal initiative and my drive to get it done. I choose – or not.
Actually act on what you know…”take hold of” Excerpt: What do you know about your faith in Christ? I ask myself: Self: Are you actually acting on it… acting on your faith? Are you purposely stepping out upon the stepping stones of faith as you make your way along the pathway of your life?
It behooves each of us to review what we know of our faith in Christ, and reconnoiter 1 what’s up ahead – so we can make decisive decisions for our life. Lots of various factors bend and twist our pathway.
Actually try to do the deed…”take hold of”
Is your light actually Darkness?
Why God rejects anyone – Are you soon to be rejected 2 Corinthians 13:5 as counterfeit?
Puny humans…normal humans without Christ
Hoeing your row…Sowing for a harvest of righteousness:
“The wisdom that comes from God
is first utterly pure,
then peace-loving, gentle, approachable,
full of tolerant thoughts and kindly actions,
with no breath of favouritism or hint of hypocrisy.
And the wise are peace-makers who go on quietly
sowing for a harvest of righteousness
—in other people and in themselves.”
– James 3:17-18 J.B. Phillips New Testament
Living my soul on earth…Reap what you sow. Excerpt: I’m living my life for Christ here on earth – so I can live with Christ over on the other side. That’s a perfect goal – you think?
You plant your life so carefully and put a fence around it
When on earth I’m done and gone
Your useless way of life Excerpt: Still living in a loop hole? Or are you living it to the max – with eternal values in view? I refuse to live a useless life (1 Peter 1:13-18). You know what I mean. A “wood, hay, and stubble” life. Stubble: 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 King James Version.
Looking for loopholes…living in a loop hole
Measuring your networth…wood, hay, stubble
God’s Stock Exchange – Where are you invested well? Excerpt: Stocks for Heaven are an investment you do not want to miss out on. Believe it! These, however, are stocks that no unSaved can get. You definitely will wish you’d gotten them!
Choosing God’s greater wealth rather than passing pleasures
The sins we can practice to go to Hell. Just so you know. – Telling it like it is – with a bit of satire Excerpt: This, in Hebrews 9:27-28, is a dire warning for those without Christ….
I just want to go to Hell, don’t you? Satire
so I just know I’ll go to Hell, won’t you?…
Saved and knowin’ it Excerpt: You can know that you know you know. Two types of “believing”. One type stays the same. One type receives forgiveness by God.
Pure Gospel Verses About Salvation
Specific salvation parameters Jesus absolutely requires
My simple frequent practice of repentance Excerpt: I know I sin. Any sin breaks my close relationship with God. So I’ve got a simple frequent practice to deal with that: I repent – frequently.
When I pray I always want to have no sin Excerpt:
…nothing separating
me from God
I am short of holy
in need of His cleansing
so what I do is
confess anew….
Godly sorrow vs Worldly sorrow Excerpt: Just being sorry doesn’t cut it with God. He recognizes a sorrow of a different type: godly sorrow. 2 Corinthians 7:10
Pairing with God…An easy morning prayer to start it right
In this moment right now Jesus makes me perfect Excerpt: When I pray and confess – it happens. In an instant. In this moment – right now – Jesus makes me perfect. He removes sin quicker than a flash. That is how Almighty God forgives.
God hears us and wants us to approach Him with sincere and honest prayer
Be found by Him spotless and blameless, in peace
Following “a faith of the same kind as ours” in 2 Peter 1:1 Excerpt:
The Gospel of Jesus the Messiah is the faith that saves for all eternity. Any other version out there..? Well, if it is not the pure Gospel, what Jesus taught, then who’s gospel are you into?
How can your church Gospel save – if it is changed all the time by your teachers? It makes total sense that Jesus would give us the the total spectrum of salvation back then when He started the Early Church, right?
Brand new creature…He wants to change us dramatically, prepare us for His Holy Kingdom
What God does to prepare you for Heaven…to prepare us for His Holy Home
The Gospel of Jesus Christ… the Messiah
What saves you…the faith that saves for all eternity
Useless faith is exactly that – useless…Is there any other version out there – that saves? The Gospel says: NOT!
Pure Gospel – nothing added, nothing taken out…What good is unPure?
What Jesus taught Excerpt: Jesus said…
Pure Junk – Who’s gospel are you into? Can their version save forever?
Promises God makes about your salvation
God is “faithful and absolutely trustworthy” to you in your salvation Excerpt: God does not save the unlucky person, even by His marvelous grace, who does not follow Him in obedience. You don’t just waltz in, say “Okay God. Looks good”, then walk out and do your own thing. The Godman Jesus said “Follow Me”. The concept of getting saved without then obeying and following Jesus is not in the Bible.
The righteous person…”take hold of” perfection
“The spirits of the righteous made perfect”
Practicing sin, not following Christ
Acting on misInterpretations of Scripture
Connect the dots to Jesus who said “Depart from Me”
What it is – this lifetime battle we are in called “Spiritual Warfare”
Being tested to know for sure your faithfulness to God
My simple frequent practice of repentance
Growing into our natural new life in Christ
16 Happenings on your spiritual journey
I run to win. Christ did. Do you? Excerpt: I am living “my eternal life” right now, in the sense that this world is not my home, “I’m just a passin’ through” (Song by Jim Reeves… “This World is Not My Home” 1962 with Lyrics).
My treasures are safe in Heaven. How ’bout you?
There is this sense of urgency I feel, while yet on this earth — to be persistent and conscientious, to always be pleasing God with all that I am and all that I do. That requires I be cautious and active in faith daily. I want to be in on that Rapture when it comes (and the signs indicate it’s happenin’ soon!)
Is your life fruit – agape love? Excerpt: The lasting fruit of those who have been truly born again – is love. This love is part of the “works” that follow salvation. What will you have to show for your life when you arrive in Heaven?
This love type is not of yourself. You can’t make it. This is a fruit that the Holy Spirit produces in us as we grow in our faith. This “love fruit” is a direct “result of His presence within us” (Galatians 5:22-23).
Livin’ it to the max! Excerpt: What if God appeared right in front of you, right there where you are, right now, and asked, “I’d like you to come to heaven and enjoy my Kingdom with me.” Would you say, “No”? What kind of fool would you be!…? You might be thinking, “What kind of fool do you think I am?”
Called by Jesus to be forever on a higher level…That is what we are called-out to be
Excerpt: Salvation is more
We have more than eternity. Although that should be enough (!), through Christ we have more, because we have been saved to a higher calling. We have an extreme, high calling from our extreme High God.
Have you accepted this? Or are you still so dull of hearing, still sneering, still clinging to your rotten sinfulness that we all struggle with, still unwilling to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior?
Extreme to the nth degree…our extreme High God
41 is coming…don’t quit Excerpt: Is it crying time again? Want to quit? Think again.
I look Oh My God…a prayer of praise to God
Gritty-Plain Living Excerpt:
The great majority of us humans live plain and mundane, unexciting lives, do we not? (Read Job 7:17-18.) None of the thrills and chills of the likes of Jason Bourne or the Mission Impossible depictions we see in so many movies. Just gritty-plain, same-o, same-o days, day after day. Yet, we who have been born again, transformed by the Spirit of God – are now brand new creations in Christ!
At that moment in time each of us, as “followers” of Christ, were given innate purpose and a reason to live each day joyfully for Him – and a power to go with it!
Becoming fiery hot, glowing, Rapture Ready Watchers
There is only an outside chance I will ever die Excerpt: If you have turned to God, we read in Scripture a very definite instruction for us all:
“wait for His Son from [f]heaven”
—Jesus who rescues us
from the wrath to come.”
– 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 NASB
That is what followers of Jesus do, daily: wait for His return.
Jesus Christ is in you—
unless indeed
you fail the test
and are rejected
as counterfeit
– 2 Corinthians 13:5
“testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and all your soul [your entire being].”
– Deuteronomy 13:1-3 NASB
“So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin]”
– Matthew 3:8
Looking at others Excerpt: What do you think of others? Do you size-them-up: know their sins and think less of them, or think they are great because you like how they look or like how much they have? The Apostle Paul gives us a great insight into how we should observe others, how we should think of others.
Tolerating others and being biblical
Should you forgive even though no confession is made?
Dealing with the sins of others Excerpt: You, me – we all somehow have a tendency towards quickly rejecting anyone who offends us. And pointing fingers is easy to do. In fact, hate is easy and gossip too. But Scripture shows us the better way to go (1 John 2:15-17). I will go forever in this:
“…the one
who does the will of God
and carries out His purposes
lives forever.”
– 1 John 2:15-17
How’s your talkin’, by the way?
Puny humans…want to stay just a “normal” human?
How’s your talkin’?…How’s your talkin’, by the way?
Experiencing gossip “the other way around”
Did God treat you -your way- as you refuse to forgive peculiar types of sinners? Excerpt:
God is not choosy about who He forgives. Jesus said “Whosoever will may come“. The Truth is: Any sinner can come to Him for forgiveness. But Scripture does also tell us: God is specific about how He forgives.
If you allow a grudge, hate, slander, gossip, racism, anti-any-race
When talking, choose nice – Matthew 7:1
Jesus will rescue us soon from the wrath to come
Waiting for the Rapture – mentioned throughout the New Testament
When God rescues His own…wait for it
